In 2007, working in international waters , Odyssey Marine Exploration secretly recovers a king’s ransom from the deep: seventeen tons of silver and gold coins. Spain is convinced the treasure comes from the MERCEDES, a Spanish frigate blown up in 1804. And they want it back. Episodes will include forensic analysis with stunning computer graphics as well as experts in cutting-edge laboratories laboring to analyze and conserve fragile artifacts recovered from the watery depths.
